Strawberry Delight Dessert with Banana
Strawberry desserts are many people's favorite and this strawberry delight dessert is based on strawberry jello, vanilla pudding, bananas, cake and fresh strawberries. This is a jello layer recipe, since the jello, strawberries, and cake go first, followed by a layer of sliced bananas and finally a whipped topping.
Make up the angel food cake (or buy one) before you start. This strawberry delight tastes a little like trifle and is great because it is simply to make but your guests will think it took longer! This jello cake recipe can be made with raspberries and raspberry jello if you fancy something a bit different.
Do not chop the bananas until right before you need them or they might go a bit brown. You can pour lemon juice over chopped banana to stop it from going brown but that would add a strong acidic flavor, which would not go well with this recipe.
Banana Strawberry Delight Jello Recipe
Ingredients -
1 angel food cake, torn to pieces
1 big pack strawberry jello
1 big pack instant vanilla pudding
2 packs frozen strawberries
3 bananas, sliced
Cool Whip
Preparation:
Make the vanilla pudding.
Mix the jello and strawberries and add the pieces of angel food cake.
Put this mixture into a rectangular glass dish.
Add a layer of vanilla pudding, then the sliced bananas and chill.
Top with Cool Whip before serving.
