Three Layer Fruit Jello Mold

This layered jello mold is a delicious holiday dessert or a tasty snack for a garden party. This layered jello recipe, like a lot of other popular jello dessert recipes, combines different fruit flavors. Layered jello dessert recipes always look really impressive, even when they are easy to make, like this recipe is.

This jello mold has a cranberry, pineapple and cherry base, a sour cream layer and the topping is a mandarin orange flavored layer with mandarin orange segments in it. The chunks of fruit add a great texture to this three layer fruit jello mold. Using whole berry cranberry sauce is a good idea, if you can get it, because the juicy whole berries make the bottom layer really tasty.

The key to making this jello perfectly is to wait for each layer to chill and set before adding the next. If you do not do this, the layers will merge into one another, which will taste more or less the same but will not look so good. Jello takes at least a couple of hours to set, so make sure you have plenty of time to make this layered jello before you start it.
