Seven Up Dessert with Banana and Pineapple

7-up is great for drinking but did you know you could use it in 7 up jello recipes too? When you use 7 up in a recipe, it loses its fizz but retains its lemon and lime flavors. In the following 7 up jello recipe, lemon and lime jello are also used and pineapple and banana pieces complement the overall tropical flavor.

Lemon jello recipes and lime jello recipes are very popular and in the following recipe, the jello is allowed to set and then a creamy topping is spread over the top and then the nuts, giving a multi layer jello recipe, which is a hit at parties, and equally delicious enjoyed after a dinner at home.

The combination of banana, pineapple with the lemon and lime flavors is really tangy and fruity and this dessert is ideal in the summer, perhaps after a delicious meal when you fancy something special and sweet to finish off the occasion perfectly.

7-Up Pineapple Banana Dessert

Ingredients -

1 pack lime jello
1 pack lemon jello
2 cups drained, crushed pineapple (keep the juice)
2 cups hot water
1 beaten egg
1 cup chopped nuts
1 tablespoon flour
½ cup sugar
2 slices bananas
1 pack Dream Whip
2 cups 7-Up

Preparation:

Combine the 7-Up, crushed pineapple, bananas, lime jello, lemon jello, and water in a 9 x 13 inch pan and let it set.

Simmer the flour, sugar, pineapple juice and egg until it is thick, stirring it constantly, and then let it

cool.

Add the Dream Whip to the cooked mixture and spread it over the jello.

Sprinkle the chopped nuts over the top and refrigerate.
