Fruity Jello Chunks in Candy Cream

This tasty jello recipe combines three different flavors of jello in a creamy jello mold. The three fruity flavors are cut into chunks, which you can see when you slice the dessert, to make this one of the best looking jello recipes out there. Imagine it like chopped jello chunks inside a cream colored jello molded layer.

Make sure you use 100% fruit concentrates in this recipe, rather than the sugar-laden ones, which do not taste as good and make this jello dessert way too sweet. Good quality fruit concentrates also give the dessert more of a fresh and fruity flavor. This is a great dessert for kids, adults and even grandparents who prefer to eat soft foods. You can vary the fruit juice flavors if you like, for a different colored dessert every time and you can use whichever shape jello molds you have.

There are different variations of this fruity jello chunks dessert all over the world and you might find it in South America, England or even being made as far away as Australia. This candy cream recipe is a great summer dessert. It is simple to make and the results are always amazing.

Candy Cream Chunky Jello Dessert

Ingredients -

⅔ cup frozen cherry juice concentrate
⅔ cup frozen grape juice concentrate
⅔ cup pulp-free orange juice concentrate
5 tablespoons unflavored gelatin
2 cups boiling water
¾ cup half and half
⅔ cup frozen pineapple juice concentrate plus ¼ cup extra

Preparation:

Put half the cherry, orange and grape juice concentrates into three bowls to thaw.

Sprinkle 1-tablespoon (1 package) gelatin into each bowl. Wait 5 minutes then add ½ cup of the boiling water to each bowl and stir well until the gelatin dissolves.

Add the rest of the concentrates to each bowl and stir well.

Pour each of the three flavor jellos into 5 x 3 inch loaf pans to set and chill for a few hours.

Thaw the ⅔-cup pineapple juice concentrate in a big bowl and add the remaining 2 tablespoons (2 packages) of gelatin.

Wait 5 minutes then add ½-cup boiling water and stir until the gelatin dissolves.

Add the other ¼-cup pineapple juice concentrate to the mixture and the cream.

Chill the pineapple mixture until it is partially set. Cut the loaf pans of flavored jello into 1-inch cubes and fold them into the creamy pineapple flavored jello mixture.

Pour the whole lot into a jello mold.

To serve, set the mold briefly into a sink of hot water and invert in on to a plate. Cut into slices and serve.
