If you like fruity desserts, this one is guaranteed to hit the spot because the flavors are perfectly in sync.
This is a light, refreshing dessert and you can serve it after a heavy meal or after a light one. This is a nice dessert to serve outdoors on a warm, sunny day because of the tropical, fruity flavors. For an exotic variation, try using pineapple juice instead of peach ice tea.
This orange jello dessert is very simple to make but the ginger and peach ice tea make it taste really special. The decoration of an orange slice and a sprig of mint are simple too but sometimes the simplest jello recipes are the most elegant and the most delicious ones. If you are keeping this in the refrigerator for more than an hour before serving it, do not cut the orange slices until you are ready, else they might go a bit dry on top.
Ingredients -
1 package orange jello (4 serving size)
¾ cup boiling water
1 cup peach flavor ice tea
¼ teaspoon ground ginger
6 sprigs fresh mint
6 half slices orange
Preparation:
Stir the jello and boiling water together for a couple of minutes, until the jello dissolves.
Add the ginger and ice tea. Pour the mixture into 6 parfait glasses and chill for a couple of hours.
When the jello is nearly set, stick the mint in the top, and garnish with the orange slices.
You might need to use a sharp, pointy knife to make a tiny hole in the jello so you can stick the sprig of mint in.
