Ingredients -
3 oz package strawberry jello
3 tablespoons butter, softened
4 cups Cheerios
⅓ cup light corn syrup
Preparation:
Use 1 tablespoon of the butter to grease a 9-inch cake pan.
Put the jello powder in a non-stick skillet with the rest of the butter and the corn syrup.
Bring the mixture to a boil, stirring it all the time.
Take it off the heat and stir in the Cheerios, mixing until they are coated with the other ingredients.
Transfer the mixture to the buttered cake pan, and then spread it evenly over the cake pan, using the back of a buttered spoon to press the mixture down well.
Leave the jello and Cheerios mixture for half an hour to set, then cut it into bars and keep them in the refrigerator.
