Strawberry Pretzel Jello Salad

Rather than being a soft jello dessert, this pretzel jello salad is a dessert in three layers. First is a crunchy pretzel layer, and then you have a creamy, marshmallow layer. Finally, there is a strawberry jello layer. This pretzel jello salad looks wonderfully attractive because of its layered effect and tastes amazing too, because all the ingredients go together so well.

Not many jello recipes are baked but the pretzel layer in this jello recipe is baked to melt the butter and sugar in the pretzel layer, to make it set, and give it a really mouthwatering caramel flavor. For a very special jello dessert recipe, this pretzel jello salad is a really great one to try.

You could save time by using a readymade piecrust for this strawberry pretzel jello salad, or use cereal instead of pretzels if you do not like them. You can use a different kind of jello too, if you wanted. Raspberry jello with frozen raspberries in the topping would be really good, or orange jello with mandarin segments. That is the great thing about jello recipes like this pretzel jello salad. If you want to switch one flavor of jello for another, it usually works just fine.
