There are two versions of sea dream salad. One is a savory crab and shrimp gelatin salad and the other is a wonderful mixture of lime jello, crushed pineapple, nuts, marshmallows and more for a melt in the mouth dessert, which is wonderful after any meal. Lime and pineapple is always a wonderful combination because the sharp tanginess of the lime contrasts well with the very sweet pineapple flavor.
This is a deliciously fluffy jello dessert, which is simple to make. You can swap a couple of spoonfuls of whipped cream for a couple of spoons of cottage cheese to the mixture if you want to, for a slightly different taste. Also, feel free to replace the nuts with chopped banana if you fancy it.
This sea green colored dessert is popular with adults and kids alike, because it is one of those desserts, which looks playful and fun. Make it in individual glasses, if you want, to get the full effect of the nuts, marshmallows and everything else floating in the jello. Else, you can make it in a big jello mold and cut it into portions afterwards. However, you present this jello does not change the fact that it tastes yummy.
