Strawberry Whip Cream Jello Dessert Mousse

This is a delicious jello dessert and, if you are a fan of easy jello recipes, you will find it quick and simple to make. This strawberry whip cream jello dessert can be made with regular jello or sugar free strawberry jello and the result will taste the same. You can also use sugar free Cool Whip if you are really watching your weight.

You might like to garnish each dessert glass with half a fresh strawberry or a dusting of chocolate powder or even both! This jello dessert makes a great finish after a rich, heavy meal because it is light, fruity, and full of flavor. It does not need any garnish but you can add something on top if you want to. Strawberry syrup is another idea.

Serve this strawberry whip cream jello dessert mousse in long tall glasses and you will be able to see the tiny pieces of pureed strawberries. This dessert is wonderful for adults and kids and the fresh strawberry flavor is amazing. For a slightly different flavor, use raspberry jello and raspberries. If blackberries are in season, you might like to combine the strawberries with some blackberries for another flavor dimension and a slightly darker looking mousse.

Strawberry Jello Dessert Mousse with Whipped Cream

Ingredients -

1 package (4 serving size) strawberry jello
¾ cup boiling water
2 cups thawed cool whip topping
1 cup ice cubes or crushed ice
1 ½ cups strawberries, chopped finely or mashed

Preparation:

Combine the jello with the boiling water until it has dissolved, then add the ice and stir well.

Add the strawberries and half of the whipped topping and stir again.

Spoon this mixture into 6 serving glasses and refrigerate them for a couple of hours until firm.

Top with the remaining cool whip and serve chilled.
